Loved the chance to show the family some pictures of the places I've raved about over the years. The Hostel and the Penang Swimming Club were the best places for young kids to have fun. I remember trophy night at the Swimming Club, a long dress, all done-up and a huge trophy to take home!
In 1971/72 Dad (Keith) was over at Butterworth, Mum (Maryke) was a teacher at RSP for upper primary and my brother Eric was in grades 1 & 2.
Dad and Mum went back for a second posting in 1988 and he got the job of cleaning out the school when it closed.
