So many things I had forgotten about all came back to
me...like the school song! (how could I have forgotten it???) It is wonderful
to have this chance to find *old* friends.
I have so many fond memories of my time in Malaysia, especially wonderful
fun times spent with friends. I loved *Elective* days where we had double
periods of art, cooking, woodwork. My favourite teacher of all time was Miss
Berry. I lived on the Base so I travelled on the bus which was so much fun.
The trip across on the ferry was always eventful & many memorable things
would happen on the buses. The bus conductors & bus escorts were gems
who helped to make our trip a wild experience. I particularly enjoyed the
sport that was available both at & outside of school & was in the
Dolphin swimming club & the Hustlers basketball team. The school &
sport dances where always a highlight. The clothes, the hair, the moves are
all a special part of my childhood memories. The food, the smells, the gum,
the crushed ice, the animals, the school uniform, the school excursions...
all form a kaleidoscope of fabulous memories.
I would LOVE to hear from anyone who remembers me. (I have a sister Joanne
who is a year younger than I) (I'm in the 1978 Austral, 8-2 front row first
on left).
